They're a great little gun.  They'll go bang nearly every time with just about anything you feed them.  There really isn't much to NOT like about them.  You can get them reasonably cheap, they have a nice feel, they function with about anything and everything you feed them and they shoot straight.  Like I said, there isn't much to not like.  And, TANDEMKROSS, makes a cool magazine extension that turns them into 15 round mags. as well as a few other accessories for the SR-22.

Unless someone just likes the "look" of something else, better, if you're in the market for a gun in this class, it'd be hard to find anything better for the same money.

I have one as well and it is a good shooting gun.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Staying in the same class and style, give the M&P-22 Compact a look, not the M&P full size but the "Compact" model.  Haven't personally shot one but it does have a nice feel to it and from what I've been told the M&P 22 Compact runs just about anything and everything you feed it, also.  It does cost a little more, about $40, so not that big of a deal.

I'm not positive but I think all the SR 22's and maybe even the M&P 22 Compact's, come with a threaded barrel but if not, I'd make sure I got one with a threaded barrel.  Shooting those little 22's suppressed is more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Plus a lot of patience and paperwork

Between the BATF getting their $200 for a little piece of paper with what looks like an over sized postage stamp and $350-$400 for a good suppressor, it does seem like a lot to spend, BUT, I've yet to talk to anyone that has one that wasn't happy they did and wished they'd have done it a lot sooner.  These little 22lr pistols are amazingly quiet and I know it doesn't seem like it's worth it to spend that much but once you do and you start using it, you never want to shoot without it screwed on the end.

Patience, ugh!, yes the waiting 100% sucks but the paperwork really isn't that bad and once I finally decided to do it I was actually surprised how little paperwork there was.  With the new ATF 41F rule it eliminates the need for local law enforcement sign off so that's good but it adds the need to include a passport photo and finger print card but neither is that big a deal.

Yeah I have one processing for mine. The first month is agonizing and then you kind of forget about it until some guy happens to ask about a sr22.... :chuckle:

They're a great little piece. My mom carries that. Very solid and consistent. Far better results than the Walther
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

I wasn't a fan of pushing up on the safety to go hot! Other than that, I like mine.
