So my son Jake has a mutiseason elk tag . He was a trooper last week tagging along on blrmans hunt . I totally enjoyed only carrying my bow one day and Wish that he could have closed the deal in the short time we spent trying to get him onto a cow or spike . We (karl and I ) did get him onto a cow that was bedded with a bull , we stalked in with a decoy while Karl called from a distance . when she stood up he drew and I ranged , his arrow flew and dropped between her legs ( I'm pretty sure the wind knocked it down) . Back at camp we duplicated the shot and his bh hit the ten ring . Last year was kinda the same deal We had a blast but for the most part Chased bulls with RT. On the last day of our hunt we had a spot picked out where I knew there where elk when we got there a red Tahoe was already there . instead of screwing up that guys hunt we decided to pull out , it didn't pan out but 4fletch and I spotted a fire and called it in so maybe it was for the best. So in asking I wonder if any of you would want to give up a westside muzzy area that we may be able to find a bull . I'm not going to tread on your spot and we arnt afraid to hike off grid a ways. This would be a one and done . I know where theres elk in the NE but its a real haul from Bothell . Thanks fellas . PS. We arnt made of Sugar like K lol.
