From the outside looking in i would suggest quitting while ahead here. This thread is doing nothing to further your good reputation regardless of your intentions.

An hour on horseback is a long ride. Looks like a nice camp. Always gotta stick up for yourself you didn't say anything wrong IMO.

Sounds like it's about 3 miles.

The pass could make money if they wanted to have a summer/fall program. They only want to cater to skiing and snowboarding is how I understand it.

WPO you have a good reputation.  There is always going to be exceptions outside of your control.  Hunting is so broad and the expectations are so diversified you are in a tough industry.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.

But not all miles are created equal. Are we talking 3 miles of green circle trail or 3 miles of black diamond trail?

An hour on horseback is not much of a ride, and on dude horses I'd be surprised if you'd make 3.5 mph down a dirt road.

I hiked and hunted part of that area during Archery. It's a fairly steep first couple of miles. There are elk in there. I would love to do a drop camp but for the $ I'd want to be in farther than a guy like me could hike in to start hunting. You couldn't hump that much crap in by yourself  unless you spent a few days packing all that crap in then packing it all out.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Did a drop camp with a different outfitter a number of years ago that had a little more than an hour ride in. It didn't get us farther than we could have hiked in but to have gotten a camp in, camp out, and hopefully several deer out would have been much more than we could have done.

An hour in on horse is fine if you know that's what's you're getting beforehand.

Crystal makes good money doing this, but they don't allow bows and rifles on the lift anymore.

Will they let you put the meat on the chair for the haul down the mountain?

If they let you put your wall tent and stoves etc and a wheelbarrow on the lift and haul them in to "elk camp," you could buy all new eqt, go up and set up a couple weeks ahead, pack in a couple days before the season with just your rifle and than after the hunt sell a ready to go elk camp, all set up in elk country and ready to go, to another party and make out pretty darn good.  Maybe even turn a profit on it.  If you get an elk down all you need to do is get it to the top of the lift and they deliver it to your vehicle from there.
