If the rentals, inheritance, and VA burial benefits are true then it sounds like whoever wrote the GoFundMe solicitation is as big of a scud as Shane.

Perhaps this was why he was MIA for a bit per the OP's comment:

https://www.gofundme.com/jim-barbour-sr

I wonder if they know that his dad has veterans benefits for burial, if he was honorably discharged.

What's really sad, is that Shane was bragging to another hunter recently about the inheritance he was about to receive. Over a million cash, plus a few dozen rental houses, and whatever is made from the sale of the estate. Might be why only $20 got donated.
No DBranger what's really sad is the hard on you have for this guy.

I don't think it's sad to see a guy who truly believes he was wronged stand up for himself, as well as help inform anybody else who is interested in the subject.  Maybe he could leave out the second-hand info, as that does not help his cause in the long run...

But through a long history of reports of this type, this outfitter has made his bed.

I understand the sticking up for yourself when you've been wronged but in this case I don't feel he was and the second hand info shows the actual way this person thinks.IMO
And just because I don't agree with him he says I should check my moral compass

The comment you made in this post is probably why he said to check your moral compass. He is right.

:yeah: Shane took advantage of the guy. We should be thanking guys like DBranger for letting us all know, so maybe someone else doesn't make the same mistake of hiring this d-bag in the future.

So much bad karma with this dude I think the more visibility the better. I wouldn't go on a hunt with his business if it was free.

Actually he said it about 5 pages ago. And no worries my moral compass is right on track.
It may not seem like it but I actually  feel bad that the op feels he was screwed.
However it's still my opinion that he wasn't

It would appear that my "hard on" for Shane is only rivaled by your "hard on" for me. These forums are for exchanging information. Once you found out you didn't have any interest in the subject, you could've easily went to another thread. In the same breath you're telling me to get over Shane, I'll tell you to get over me. I never asked for you to keep shoving your opinion down my throat, and I made it fairly evident on your initial comment that I could care less for it. You're no better than Shane, probably relatives or personal friends in my opinion. Can you show us all where the internet hurt you? The majority of people here are in agreeance.

Almost certainly Shane Thomas Barbour Jr.    The individual who has so many fans here is Shane Thomas Barbour Sr.
