Nightforce is releasing a tripod in the beginning of next year. Here is a link to some info on it. Looks intriguing.

I love my ball head for my DSLR, but for a spotting scope, its a fluid video head all the way.

Im with you bean counter... .i love my video fluid head..i cant believe i used a pistol style for so long....
