I was in need of a light, cool hiker boot. Did a little searching and went shopping once and didn't see much I liked. I went on Amazon and got a pair of Merrell hikers for $70. I'll be damned if they might be the most comfortable shoe I've ever bought. They aren't advertised as waterproof which I almost always require but, slipped in the first day felt great. Two days on my feet in rocky ground and they feel good. Just figured id throw it out there. Inlike a wide width boot too which I got with these ones.

My last 3 or 4 pairs of hiking shoes have been Merrells. There pretty much what I seek out when i go shoe shopping. $70 is a great deal.

I just bought a pair of Merrell's for work. They're awesome. I was really happy. I'll definitely be going with them next time as well.

That is my go to light weight hiker.  I love them, comfortable right out of the box.
