Local-ish archery clubs with outdoor ranges???
« on: January 22, 2017, 01:51:19 PM »
I did some of that there Google-searching along side Hunt Washington Forum searches and came down to basically 2 that fit the bill.  I am looking for an outdoor archery range, preferably something with a walking multi-distance course that's within an hour or hour and half of Battle Ground, WA.

My research brought me to these two organizations:
Bushmen Archers - St. Helens, OR
Lewis & Clark Bowmen - Castle Rock, WA

Both have their pluses and minuses that I need to decide between.  Probably make a site visit / scouting trip to both before figuring it out.  Any other organizations or ranges that I missed in the vicinity I'm looking???

Also any members of either Bushmen or Lewis & Clark that would be willing to allow me and the wife to be your guest for a visit?

Thank you for information you are willing to share.

In North Plains Or, wasn't too bad of a drive from Battle Ground.

Up to a 90 yard range. And a 25 target 3D course. 13$. Lots of terrain to the course. Had a great time with a couple buddies.

Where do you live? There's one on Old Belfair Highway between Bremerton & Belfair. I've never been able to get ahold of anyone or seen it open, though.

Thanks Wolfdog 2314 I never came across that one.  I will add it to the list.  Looks like the two options are wait until they have a shoot or just pay for an annual pass and see which works out best.  Annual pass is the expensive route but at least I can tell what the "traffic" is like at the place during the year.  Like most of my hunting adventures this year - you don't know until you go!

Maggie - I'm in Battle Ground, WA

The club on Old Belfair Road is Kitsap Archers. We have around 300 members. The outdoor range is over 40 acres of streams, hills, and deep forest. Trails are very well laid out with walkways over wet areas and one section is even handicap accessible. We also have a 20 yard indoor range in the heated clubhouse. Google KBH Archers or KBH archery club. BTW non members are welcome to shoot for a $5 range fee.

I've never even been to that side of the canal before.   Now I want to move there!  Very impressive club you all have.
