Good, bright 12v rechargeble flashlight?
« on: April 05, 2017, 10:45:43 PM »
Bought a new truck, looking to mount a flashlight that is charges all the time. Super bright is needed. Old maglight is going with the old rig. Any ideas? Direct beam is preferred for a blinding light for dealing with unsavory people if needed.

I would go with stream light. I have the 200 lumen one for work and have beat, abused, and ran it over and it still work great. Batteries seem to last quit a while. I have had mine for 6 years now and never had a problem. I has a high medium and low as well as a strobe function.

Streamlight gets my vote. I have 2 Stinger DS LED's (640 lumen) that get used daily. Lifetime warranty, solid customer service.

I would look at the 1000 lumen rechargeable torchlight on Amazon for $16.  I have the big yellow 900 lumen Stanleys in all my rigs.  You can set them at angle on the ground for worklights.   Would stick an Led bulb in that maglight for sure.

Definitely Streamlight is the way to go.

My techs all have Stingers and beat the crap out of them day in and day out. Not sure there's a 12v rechargeable version but they're rechargeable.

The chargers for my Stingers have two cords, one for the wall and one for a lighter socket.
