I always have good luck pushing up into Frenchman's Wasteway - you'll usually find some carp cruising the lower end of the wasteway where it dumps into the lake. If you can make it to Winchester, the falls are always a good bet for some fast shooting since you can sometimes find hundreds in the pool below the falls during the spawn. Also just work the shoreline on the west side of the lake once you leave the state park - you'll see and hear the carp in the willows. So long as the wind doesn't pick up and you stay close to shore in the sheltered areas, you'll be good to go in your boat. Good luck!
