A Day of Bird Training

(1/2) > >>

gasman:
Took Hemi out to day to put him into some birds. I brought 3 Chuckers for him to chase around. Took video of one of the chases but pictures for the first two.
We had a fun day and Hemi did very well. The first bird he did not see throw, so it took a few moments for him to catch wind of the bird, but after that he kept his eye on Art (he was my thrower)  and the bird. He went after each one like a rocket. His mouth is still a little small for the birds and he drops them or he just does not have the knack for picking them up correctly the first time. Over all i believe it was a good day.

Here are some pictures.

And one of my daughter with Hemi. We did some Geocaching after our training today.

Old Dog:
Great pics!  How are the birds working out?

Two in the freezer and one in the cage. The one left is great but the other two decided to take a dirt nap after Hemi chased them around

My daughter was pissed i did not wait for her to go to your place and get the birds. I told here may be next time.

And my offer to help out still stands, just give me a call, you have my number ( think Rashell would have a blast helping in moving the birds like you talked about).
