Stinky mount??
« on: May 12, 2017, 08:07:12 PM »
We have a deer shoulder mount that was completed in June of 2016 that stinks. Literally. At first we thought it was just chemical from the tanning process or something and figured it would fade over time, but it's been a year now and it still smells as strong as ever. It's an acidic/chemical/vomit type smell, and strong enough to smell it when you walk into the room. Anybody else ever deal with this? Thoughts?

First call should be the Taxi :dunno: Ask him if hide was self tanned or done at tannery?

Pretty sure he sent it to a tannery he is semi-retired and doesn't do any tanning anymore.
