What was it like gutting out a hippo?  Must have been a chore!  Did you get to try the meat?

I love skulls and that is AWESOME!

Very cool.....
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

The villagers came out of nowhere and all helped process the hippo.  They got all of the meat save 2 legs.  One we brought with us to eat (it was great!) and the other we used for Croc bait.

As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Wow!  That's cool.  Love the interaction with the locals.

Don't put it next to any bear skulls....make them all look like thumb tacks.

That's awesome, what a cool hunt and trophy. Congrats!

When you see that thread title it just screams, 'yeah, you're gonna click here!.' Be sure to post pics of the finished skull and mount, it's going to be amazing. I loved hunting Africa, but that trophy makes the plains game antelope species almost seem boring. Congrats!

Wish I had a bear skull to compare it to, I have been trying for several years without success.  lots of spring bear points now though, so hopefully next year!
