| Shooting area near Banks Lake? |

Going camping in a few weeks and was wondering if someone knows of an area that I could take the family to do some shooting? From the westside, so not too familiar with the area. |

Curious about this as well. We just spent a last Saturday night at Steamboat rock, very nice campground. We'll probably head back at some point in the future. |

About the only safe area would be the gravel pits just east of the rodeo grounds. To be honest I dont even know if they are still open as they were talking about putting gates on them a few years back. If you do go there look around first, lots of folks from town used to take dirt bikes and quads out there in the evenings. |
