I checked 9 bags(coolers, rifle, gear, cape, horns) with Alaskan airlines. It cost me $350. They messed up badly. This should have been around $600. The issue you may have is from year to year they change the rules. Make sure to call the air port you are flying back from. I had called ahead then also went down and talked to them in person before booking a flight back. It could turn into a real mess if they say no and you have two hours until your flight.

Wow packing em out bone-in would be a killer.  We packed all boned-out 5 miles and it took two days for 4 of us.

Man that's a deal!!!!! Yeah I figured bout 1000-1200 would be a safe budget.

Two of us packed the meat in three trips. The the antlers and cape on the fourth trip. It's truly a gut check. I'm not sure if I hadn't got in great shape if I could have done it. Two bags of fertilizer and water in my pack for weight  :tup:
