Draw points question....
« on: October 23, 2017, 04:56:29 PM »
So sitting in camp talking about tags... we start talking about points. So I look up points to draw for the tag I am putting in for and it gives a list of each point group. My question is that I don't even show on the list! The max point for my draw shows 17 and I have 25! I am no computer guy but I would assume they upload a Generated PDF from the draw program they use... so do they have a glitch in their system and I was never entered into the draw?! Anyone else notice this?
If you can see it....... you can shoot it.

I assume you have been looking at the 2017 draw results.  It appears they only put the points groups that actually had somebody draw in it.  Very deceiving as it makes your odds look a lot better, or worse than you thought if you were not included in the group for your case.  I noticed it yesterday and assume they made a mistake and will hopefully correct it at some point.

That's funny, I noticed the same thing just today. It's just like rackattack said, they're only showing the applicant numbers for those who actually drew a particular hunt with that number of points. I don't know if it was intentional on the WDFW's part, or a mistake. Either way it's kind of difficult to figure odds when much of the data is missing.

One is the number of "applications," the other is the number of "applicants." This is because some applications are for more than one person, for those who apply as a party.
