If you think any good will come out of this for hunters, you're crazy.  For starters, if it was a collared wolf, any data that might have been gained is lost. They won't be able to track the pack if none of the other wolves are collared.  Second, this act will paint all hunters in a bad light and people who would otherwise support hunters will turn against us. At this point, we need all the friends we can get. Third, it will delay any delisting possibility. Fourth, it may result in more restrictions on hunters.

 I couldn't care less that they lost their data, it's worthless and spun in a biased fashion as far as I'm concerned.

 Nice backtrack, "hunters" should never have even been brought into the conversation, except it furthers your never ending defense of WDFW and their predator protection.......and is no accident.

 Data from those collars has little to do with those wolves killing cattle, which is what has led to them being taken out. About the only good the collars do is help locate them for removal.

Why do guys on here always think it's a " hunter " and it's going to give said hunters a black eye ? There are others who own guns and do thrill killings to MAKE the hunters look bad. Just sayin'......... They are not hunters in my eyes.

I didn't assume it was hunters. I said it will make hunters look bad. Because the public will assume it was hunters.  And "hunters" are on this site saying,  "Kill more!"  "SSS" or some such drivel. That makes hunters look guilty too. Even if hunters didn't make the kill, those kinds of statements say hunters approve of this kind of poaching.

And when the public perceives hunters of approving or participating in breaking the law, we lose what little influence we have and lose non hunters who don't mind us hunting.

If you don't understand that, we are already lost.

Maybe it's just an oversight on your part but I do find it ironic you didn't add 113 in there as well which could be argued as one of the most impacted units of any in Washington. But here I'll do it for you.
