Western WA Elk Guides
« on: February 12, 2018, 05:12:46 PM »
I have done some research here and on other sites for a good elk guide for western Washington elk, archery or rifle.  Just thought I would ask all here about this as well to add to me research.  So if you know a good guide or bad guide service please let me know.  Thanks

Really? I thought it kinda sounds like fun to hunt elk from a duck blind and not see any animals all week! Remember its not always about the hunt but the memories you make  :chuckle:

Mike Jenkins of Upfront Outfitters.
Paul Ockerman and Kevin Cueter of Roosevelt Elk Outfitters are the only ones I know of in SW Washington.

Stay away from Mike Vaugn of Olympic Mountain Outfitters, seems like that is where SB got his business model.
Unless you like watching apples ferment while listening to the soothing sounds of traffic.

Sounds like everyone here has backed up everything that I have found else where about Shane B and Mike V,  also Mike of Upfront, he is booked out for a couple years. Thanks all and glad everyone knows about the two that no one should use.

Mike Jenkins seems to be keeping himself real busy probably as a result of the shady business practices of others. Good for him. I handled getting his truck fixed for him a while back and he seemed like a good dude.

I’ve done a bit of “scouting” with Mike. He’s a good dude and very passionate about elk hunting. Garuntee you won’t be watching a pile of apples with him.
