"There is no denying what happened in Florida is a horrific tragedy, and we need to take steps to ensure that such things do not happen again. However, the steps we take should actually do something that will help solve the problem (i.e. harden our school security).

The NRA and companies associated with them are not responsible for the actions of evil people that do evil things like the shooting in Florida. To label them as being responsible for the actions of evil people is way beyond absurd and irrational, it is dangerous to our free society. The attacks on the NRA and organizations associated with them is no more rational or justified than attacking the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, automobile manufacturers, and all automobile dealerships when an evil person purposely uses a vehicle to run over innocent people on a sidewalk in New York City or elsewhere. By the way, where is the outrage against pressure cookers and any company associated with them? Remember the Boston Marathon bombers.

The attacks on the NRA are attacks on the millions of law-abiding NRA members, the 80 million plus gun owners in our country, and the hundreds of millions of people that support, defend, and believe in our U.S. Constitution and all the rights and freedoms it guarantees. The NRA has done more to promote gun safety and responsible gun ownership than any other organization in the world; yet, because they fight to protect our Constitutional rights, they become the target of unjustified attacks as if they were the root of all evil. Placing such blame on the NRA is wrong. Those that believe otherwise must truly be brainwashed with all of the anti-gun propaganda the spews from the anti-gun mainstream media.

It is important to note that taking away one right in the Bill of Rights will make all the rest of our individual rights targets for removal. The sincere message here is beware of what you ask for; taking away any of our rights is a slippery slope to not being free.

Another reason to never shop at REI.  I hate that company.  And Starbucks coffee sucks too.

Some people don't know and don't care about the truth, very sad.  His response was spot on!

I made the mistake of reading other comments. Some of our citizens are mind-numbingly ignorant and willing to give up all of their rights because a politician tells them to. Baaaaah!
"Restricting the rights of law-abiding citizens based on the actions of criminals and madmen will have no positive effect on the future acts of criminals and madmen. It will only serve to reduce individual rights and the very security of our republic." - Pianoman https://linktr.ee/johnlwallace https://valoaneducator.tv/johnwallace-2014743
