The 338 RCM pushes a factory 225 gr to 2750. How does the 338-375 compare? Is it like a 338 RCM Improved or a much longer coal ? I couldn't find much on the 338-375 googling. And there's not much on the 338 RCM either. --- End quote --- I didn't feel like digging out an RCM case, but here's a comparison from left to right: 338 Win mag, 300 Win mag, 338/375 Ruger The number written on the cases are case capacity in grains of water of each case. The full length 338/375 Ruger will beat the RCM by about 200fps with any given bullet weight in the same length barrel. I can get a 250gr bullet up over 2750 fps from an 18" barrel, which is faster than a 338 RCM will throw a lighter bullet from a longer barrel. Maybe I need to check around and see if somebody is interested in cutting a couple prefit barrels. I'll check around and see who's familiar with cutting Howa, Savage and Remington prefits. |
