Should be a good season!   I would try and get it done before the cow hunters come in. With it being the first year of having cows limited to the last few days it should ease the pressure on bulls!
Here’s my 2015 bull. You can pm me if you’de like

Think step and deep for bigger mature heard bulls. Get away from the roads and into the wilderness for some real nice bulls.Congrats on your tag !

Rimrock's my backyard, so to speak.  That's a fantastic tag!  Congrats!

Don't forget your parking permit , your Stubb's to the Christian rock show and earplugs so you can sleep , while the juiced up Jeep club gets there dirt slinging on ,,,,, allllll knight , but good luck , I have hunted that area for litterally centuries , and have had the hunt of a lifetime there good luck , and don't wait for the sun to come up , get to the honey holes before , I did all my bow hunting in rimrock and it's a very active area early in the season after that it's just good for the flash danceing garb dressed dirt bikers , stick around long enough you too can be astounded how nice they sound and look !

A lot 4x4 trails in Rimrock but there are some pockets that hold elk mostly silent though

Yeah, 4x4 trails that offer better access to areas most other dont go....

The 4x4ers go through the area, they are not stopping, you may get a few hunting but they are very few......

If you're hunting by the 4x4 trails you are not up on the ridge high enough, trust me.

I drew a rifle any bull tag this year and don’t know the quality of this area very well. I was wondering if I should be happy with the first bull elk I see or if I should hold out for a big one. Any suggestions?
