Central wa rut
« on: November 07, 2018, 06:34:22 AM »
The rut is starting up here. On my way to the gym this morning I saw down the road in a street light what I thought was two people on bikes. As I got closer I saw it was a buck chasing a doe. I got closer and they went off into a yard with no lights close so I couldn’t get any pics. The doe then darted back out in the street behind me and proceeded to trot down the road with the buck hot on her tail. This is a main road in town and I sat and watched in my mirror as they zig zagged for a few hundred yards. Pretty cool to watch. Buck was a decent 2 point with little eye guards.

Agreed the warm weather has it sporadic but multiple bucks by my house are showing more rut activity

Oh it’s definitely in progress.  Lots of babies have already been set in progress.
