gosh I don't know if I'd even call it a stalk. They were a few miles away so it took a good bit to fight through all the alders to get to the chute we were going to use for our approach.  From there it took a bit to climb into rifle range.  We were probably overly cautious on our final approach but we had literally no clue how spooky they were going to be.  We had full concealment on our final approach.  When we got to our pre determined point we were well within rifle range.  Basically just walked right up to them.

Congrats and thanks for sharing!  Goat hunts are always an adventure!  Kodiak just sounds like heaven to me (except for the rain).

doubtful. Snow was pretty crusted and loud.
