Both are good guns that should serve you well, and give you a lot more firepower than the little pocket guns like a 43 or LCP. I think you'd be choosing well with either one.

The biggest thing that sets those two choices apart IMO is aftermarket support - the Glock is ahead by miles in that area. Not that you should expect to need replacement parts, but things like holsters, spare OEM mags, etc are a lot easier to find for most Glock models than anything HK.

You just called my Ruger a little pocket gun........     :'(

Hey, I intentionally tried not to single you out... :)

But yeah, that's a pocket gun. Glock calls their 43 a pocket gun too. I have one, but only carry it in special circumstances where I can't carry a 19.

No problem.   Besides, I feel better with the 9 round mags.     I know it doesn't compete(capacity wise) with the Glock, the HK or the Sig.........   But I do own it, and that's a plus.

I used to be a springfield XD guy until someone convinced me to buy a glock 43.  I carried that thing 24/7.  The only thing I didnt care for was my inaccuracies with my large hands on such a small gun.  I bought the glock 19 and it really tightened up my groups.  I carry my glock 19 99% of the time and I absolutely love it.  Best handgun ive ever owned.
