The build will be a 300 wsm throated for 215 Bergers.😎
I think you're going to like that 300 WSM. Good luck and happy hunting!
Just for everyone's general information, here's a good rundown of the WSM cartridges, their pros and cons, and how they stack up next to their closest traditional competitors.

I'd vote 300 wsm as well for the project,  just due to brass availability.   Curious,  what max weight can a stock Tikka run in the 300 wsm without seating or stability issues?

Hoping to see mine back from HCA in May hopefully.🤞🏼 My build consists of the following:

AG composite Alpine Hunter
HCA 26” CF Heavy Hunter 9.5 twist barrel
MBM 4 port brake
CF bolt handle & bolt fluting w/ all metal cerakoted
HCA billet mag & bottom metal
Chambered in 300wsm & throated for 215 Bergers

Can’t wait to get my hands on her & top her with Hawkins rings & Zeiss V4 6-24x50 & start sending rounds down the tube! 8)

That’s Gonna be a sweet rifle.    Packable 1000 yd for target or game.    I’ve had great results with my HCA.

Well after plenty of setbacks for Mike @ HCA, my Tikka 300WSM build is complete & should be on the way to me next week unfortunately not in time to accompany me to the Wyoming high country but I’ll leave it in capable hands while I’m gone & have her ready for the Entiat come November.

The 7 saum and 300 wsm are very accurate and forgiving rounds.  7 saum will have a little better BC.  But 300 wsm will have a little more energy down range (heavier bullet).  I own both and really like both. 7 saum has quite a bit less recoil and ADG brass.  Norma 300 WSM brass is tough to get right now.

My current tikka 7rem mag will become a 7 saum or Sherman Max in the future. Just really wanted to shoot those 215’s out of the 300 with this particular build. The brass situation is a bummer for sure. Hoping ADG or Peterson pick it up going forward.

any reason for the WSM over a standard length magnum, being that tikka's are all long actions?

Length issues when running heavy bullets & a magazine in a tikka.
After market bottom metal and AICS magazines can fix that.

doesn’t matter how long the mag is if the action will only cycle so long with out work.
