Washington State Forest Board
« on: July 14, 2019, 12:10:43 PM »
I've been doing some e-scouting lately with onxmaps, and I'm seeing a lot more public land labeled as washington state forest board land. What worries me is a mountain near me that used to be DNR became washington state forest board land, google searches couldn't turn up the phrase washington state forest board. Last year it changed from washington state forest board land to whatcom parks association land, and it can no longer be hunted. If all the land being called washington state forest board land now is transfered to owners who dont allow hunting, it's going to be a major blow to northwest washington public land hunters. It seems like almost all the chunks of DNR have been divided into DNR and washington state forest board. Im wondering if anybody can tell me what this means, or if it's something to be worried about.
