I remember the handle some but not sure If it's the right one I remember. Was he one of the ones to post legislation updates in the hunter and gun advocate thread?
If so and regardless if not RIP.
Someone who can go out of their way to help notify the public as to threats to our sport and way of life and go the extra mile to make sure its as easy as possible to react to such threats will be a missed asset.
Even If we've disagreed RIP man! :'(

He was a great person and always gave an ear. He taught me a lot over the years. He will be missed. Dan and I and my son with a nice longbeard taken on his property a few years ago. I've waited to reply because I knew it would mean my last regarding a friend. Dan was a caring man, a good friend and a great man. We chatted often about the outdoors and his passion for Boise State Football.
My daughter and I met him for lunch a few years ago as she was finishing up her senior year in high school, and among the outdoors discussion, we chatted about college. She listened intently to his thoughts on BSU, and after visiting the campus she had made up her mind that she wanted to pursue her college education there.
Dan regularly checked in with her progress and was as proud as I was with her grades, that's the type of guy he was!
The last time we chatted, end of April, he was very excited to hear she would be graduating early with a pre med degree, a health science degree and a psychology minor. He honestly took an interest in her schooling and she knew it, which pushed her even harder. He would let me know he saw her on TV in the student section during the football games. :chuckle:
Again, a good friend, a great man and someone that truly will be missed!

The Washington Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) in cooperation with the Department of Fish and Wildlife is sponsoring brass pins in recognition of achieving the “Washington Slam The eastern, Merriam’s, and Rio Grande subspecies of wild turkey currently inhabit Washington State. For the purposes of the “Washington Slam,” subspecies are defined by county of kill. The taking of one of each of these subspecies constitutes a “Washington Slam.” This achievement will be verified by successful hunters returning their game harvest report cards to WDFW and these forms will also be used for submission of information to establish Washington State turkey records
