Have you had any issues with it taking photos of nothing?

I have had very favorable results with them so far, , as far as taking pictures of nothing. No problems with that. It picks up a lot of little critters and birds, moving branches or vegetation can triggers a pic of nothing

I bought the non Verizon model which should work with AT&T, tmobile and sprint. Problem is that tmobile is lte in my area so it won't work and AT&T gets no service around me. So if you get this model make sure you're not trying to utilize lte service cause it won't work. Set up was very easy though and I really wish it would have worked on the lte network.

I have 2 of these camera out and only got a squirrel at first then the other night a small bunch of elk showed up with a young bull in it. A deer last night at same spot. And just tonight the other camer a few miles away from first got another bull just entering the photo. All night picts, I gotta clear the limbs out of the way too. Didn't realize they would be so bright. I'm new to trail cams...

Do these cellular cameras require some sort of wireless plan?

Some do, some don't.  This particular camera does not.  My Spartan camera was $5 a month to add it to my Verizon plan.

Looks like it depends on have many photos you take.  I just watched a you tube on it where the guy said spypoint actually erases your pics off the SD card after the limit is reached.

With the Spartan camera it was $5 a month for Verizon and $3.50ish per month for the HCO website to log in and change the settings, etc. So the $10 a month is just a little over a dollar a month more than I currently pay.
