Blue mountain hunters...
« on: September 08, 2019, 07:03:21 PM »
My dad received a permit for the terminally ill for any bull In units 166,169, & 172. We are VERY familiar with the area. My dad and brother headed over today for the week. And we will go back as we need to or he is able to. The main challenge is going to be calling a good bull into rifle range as my dad can’t walk more then a couple hundred yards from the truck. We do have help packing out once he gets something down.

I thought that I would throw this out there. If any deer or elk hunters in those units find a masher and don’t have a branched antler permit yourself and want to send a tip to a disabled hunter. Send me a PM.

He does not know I’m requesting help. But I figured it wouldn't hurt.

Ps. We just found out about the permit being approved last Tuesday and got it in the mail yesterday.

Thank you!

@landowner  *landowner or #landowner, how ever that works.  Message landowner, I truly hope your dad gets his bull.  God bless

Have you guys been out Able's ridge yet?  I always found bulls hanging out towards the top this time of year after you go through the gate.  Its more than a couple hundred yards, but it is a pretty easy walk.  Best of luck, make some great memories!

Yes sir. He has passed on a small 6x6 off Ables ridge.

They seem a shooter 6x7 last night but no shot opportunity.

They passed on a small 6x6 this morning also.

At least they are seeing bulls! I’m hoping to head over tomorrow.
