New truck on the way from Utah
« on: September 23, 2019, 08:44:34 AM »
Been looking for 2017-2019 F-450 for a while, wanted latriat or above but wanted to stay below $70k out the door. Finally found one in Utah that is on the way.

Have fun with the new ride!

There must be something about Utah I hear about alot of folks getting heavy duty fords there. Good looking truck, you going to keep the bed on it or swap it out for a flatbed?

A beauty..............since it's from Utah, did you spring for the extra wife package?   :chuckle:

Make sure it did not come from Texas!
My neighbor is a car dealer, and he says alot of people in OK know about the floods from 2017 and 2018 in Texas, so they are shipping out all the flood vehicles to New Mexico, Utah, and Idaho!
Last year while looking for a used truck the market was flooded with "flooded" vehicles.

Very nice  that's my next pickup, I just have gone so long without a truck payment that it hurts to think about acquiring one.

I assume you got it for towing?  If that is an aluminum hitch you've got in there, take it out and throw it away, then get a steel one.  I personally know of two people who had aluminum ones break on them while towing their boats.

I just had a panic flashback!!!!!!!

I bought a new truck in Utah 27 years ago while we were visiyng for Christmas.

My wife hit black ice and we left the freeway and did a full roll near Umatilla, Oregon.
Two small kids and n o injuries - I am still very grateful!!!!!

It never even got to my driveway before it was totalled.

May your experience with a Utah truck go much better than mine!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that would suck, going through that by yourself would be bad enough, having the wife and kids with you  :yike:
Glad to hear everyone had no injuries!

Man that would suck.  I didn't want to fly down and drive 17 hours so I'm having it delivered.  It was in Southern Utah closest airport was Vegas.

Canadian truck

In that case, make sure it hasn't been involved in a maple syrup mishap. Very common in Canadia! Nice truck. Congratulations.

I have been using a TRIMAX aluminum hitch for 5 years without issue.  Rated to 10,000lbs.

And that's the issue. 10k is childs play for the rig you just purchased.

Picked the truck up yesterday, it's an awesome truck so far.  150 miles averaging 15.2 mpg.  It's very peppy with the 4:30 rear ratio.
