Northeast is closed now. Gmu 101 had all 10 cats available last week. Closed today,must of been a busy cougar week up there. I was planning a trip up there,the reason I was checking. It's amazing how fast our units close. . I just can't believe we only have 2400-2900 cats in this state,when a unit can close in a week. Since they update the website weekly.,or they aren't updating till it's closed. It goes from zero to closed faster than Ricky Bobby. Also kinda wondering how many cats are killed by the state vs hunters at this point. |

Just Published Story NC9, on Page 2 of my Cougar Stories. NC means not calling, and Walter did call at one point, but for the most part, it was a set-up ambush on a fresh kill. Great story, and big, beautiful, battle-worn cat! Wish I could post the pics, but there is just SO much on those pages now that the website can't handle it.
