He has white going part way down his back legs...Wondering with age if he will have white all the way down to his hooves.

He has white going part way down his back legs...Wondering with age if he will have white all the way down to his hooves.

Was that you who asked me that question?   I bet it varies by the animal.  Sorta like a double throat patch on a muley.

The genetics of color is a vast variable, double throat patches as bone said, black tipped whitetail, very light or dark, or a lineback hereford.  It is all a matter of timing of protein pathways in a nearly infinite pool of genetic variation.
