Treestand Climbing sticks
« on: January 21, 2020, 03:33:36 PM »
I have several of the Lone Wolf strap on tree steps.  I have always really liked them.  As I get older and less agile, I find myself looking for a little wider step.  I had a couple of issues this past fall with these steps, one resulted in some ripped pants and a serious scrap on my stomach that could have been far worse and the other involved me getting to test out my safety harness rope.  What are some good, secure, WIDE, steps you guys like?  Thanks!

Been using these for over 20 years theyve changed a bit over the years but still easily handle 14ee insulated boots with my 260 plus pack and layered clothing.  I like the step that allows both feet on the same rung for stand hanging.  Usually 2 guys set up and 2 guys take down for safety but we have done them solo many times, just get stand and ladders in as far as possible with deer cart.
