Went to find antlers and got a bobcat!
« on: March 02, 2020, 07:34:52 PM »
Decided to pull my bobcat trap that I’ve been hiking in to check as it’s had no action at all and brought the dogs to see if they could find an antler or 2 on the hike up. Left my pack and trapping gear and only brought my 10mm pistol and camera up intending to just carry the trap out on my shoulder. Get up near the trap and my dog stops and looks off to where the trap is on high alert, so I cut up the hill to go check and boom! Big ole kitty laying in there. Had a fun time getting my dogs back down and locked in the truck before hiking back up to dispatch and carry it out. Left the trap to see if all those smells bring another one in.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Amen
