I think Andy Stumpf said it "If hospitals are taking this serious, then I am taking this serious." Look at Italy. Me I am staying home right now.
Turkeys? it is only a bird. There will be more and more opportunities. I got my 16 year old granddaughter set up on the deferred program to go hunting. (Also, had her set up for hunter safety, but it was cancelled.)  It is possible to inadvertently get this virus. Now that I have made it by retiring from two jobs I do not want to risk my health.  Besides I have 24 pts for Big Horn and over 21 for moose. I didn't get this far just to take the big dirt nap. We will wait and see on the hunting.

I think most get the seriousness. But isn't it kind of counter-intuitive when several hundred people are packed into every Costco in the state in the name of "essential"?

Yep, you are right, but I won't do it. I do not have a problem with others going, but I won't, not yet. I will not stand in a line to get into Costco (not yet), but even before this virus I would not stand in a line outside The Outback, Olive Garden or Red Lobster. Good Hunting.
There are only so many sunrises left.

If the list of essentials was 3 things like food, injured, or health care or emergency worker then the other limitations for outside activities might be an easier sell.

Yeah that is ridiculous I can go get a cheeseburger but I can’t hit the DNR property right up from my house. I’m glad we own a piece of recreational property that borders forest service So at least I can still pull the trailer up there and still access it.  there sure won’t be any Rangers on the roadless downhill side that boarders our piece
As of right now DNR land is open for use, other than camping.

The trails up the Mountain Loop Hwy were horrendously packed this past weekend. Hundreds of cars at the Lake 22 and Heather Lake trail heads lining the hwy shoulder. I imagine it will be the same or worse this weekend if it is nice out since most the trails up there are on NF land. The folks up there are none to happy about it either. Unless NF is also closed down but haven't seen anything on that.

No one seems to get the stay home part
Everybody wants to do their own thing
For cripes sake
You could infect and kill someone or yourself
Stay home means stay home
Hello?

 :yeah: :yeah:

A side note, some folks that wanted hunting season shut down in this state to "help" the herds may be getting there wish. Not me, I liked the wild ID/every other year scenario.....Yep, stay home folks, the more people that follow the rules and stay vigilant the faster we can get through this, on the other hand, the more so called "bulletproof" people we have wandering around with the "won't happen to me" attitudes, well then, this may go on for a whole lot longer unfortunately... :twocents:

Ready for fishing
Shed horns
Turkeys

My pard has cancer and compromised immune system
My grand kids are young
My mom is in her late 80s

Do I want to risk giving it to them inadvertently?
No frickin way

If I get to work through every minute of this crap as "essential", then I sure as hell should be able to get in MY truck, tow MY boat to a damn near empty lake and fish alone all day 150+ yards from anyone! Stay at home is for the cities stacked on top of each other that can't go five minutes without bumping into someone. I don't have a neighbor within an acre of me. Enforce the 'lack of common sense order' on the citiots that need it!

ALL WDFW WATER ACCESS SITE AS WELL!!

That means EVERY public boat launch in this stupid State!

Are Idaho lands still open?? I'll go there for two weeks! *censored*s!
No it does not. There are launches owned by cities, counties, private entities, etc.

That's why I said public.

Privately owned launches are the only ones not affected by 'Inslee' closure order.

WDFW is getting shredded on Facebook! Great entertainment right now  :chuckle:

I bet fewer than 10% of access is WDFW or state, maybe less than 5%.  For me, I launch at probably 10 different sites a year and I can only think of one that is state owned.

Seriously buddy?

Many of the most popular boat launches on Puget Sound are not state owned, such as Armeni in West Seattle owned by the City of Seattle, Everett owned by the Port of Everett. On Lake WA only one of the boat launches is WDFW (Kenmore), Gene Coulon is City of Renton, Atlantic City is City of Seattle.

If you actually pay to launch at the launch via a fee envelope or a pay machine it's not WDFW.

Does this mean the wdfw lake access is also closed to even those stocking fish?  Will fish stocking continue if the ramps are closed?
