CB radios
« on: April 14, 2020, 08:07:22 AM »
Been working on setting up a CB base station in my shop,  with a spare Cobra 29 that I have,  Just for fun.
Anyone out there into CB radios, and knows of someone that can do a decent job tuning a radio?

In my personal opinion there isn't much to tuning the CB it self it is all about tuning the antenna to CB.

They don’t come out of the factory very finely tuned, more like mass produced, boxed up and sent away.
There’s guys out there that can hook them up to there radio meters, and know what they can tweek to get the most power and best reception. There is also some upgrades they can solder onto the boards that can make a world of difference.

If you can call me at 360-791-5825, I have an antenna that will reach Arizona with a CB. I will  give it to you for free, but of course you would have to come and get it.  I live in Olympia on the North side. Name is Chuck.

I am disabled except for my mouth.
