Poltholes, 56 to 58 everywhere  I was and I fished all day in lots of areas, but not way back in the dunes so probably a little warmer back by the dike.

All,  ive been cruising this forum for years and have found some great info. I cant figure out how to do my own post however so  im replying to this post as it pertains to why im posting.
My family and another family went walleye fishing at potholes over the weekend. We stayed at mar don and were camped in our campers on the very end of the park. I have a long history of going there dating back to the 80s. While we were out fishing on sunday afternoon some low lifes broke into our camp and stole a ton of our stuff. Coolers, bbqs, food, tools. Everything they. Could get there hands on. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on what is going on over there. There were 3 other break ins that afternoon.

I am sorry to hear this! That is awful! I wouldn't think people would be so bold in a resort like that. There is really only one way in and out. People really suck sometimes!

That sucks. I’ve used MarDon over the state park in the past thinking it was safer. Sorry you had a bad experience.
There is not enough wilderness left in the world, or in the hearts of men.

Yes, we prefer the state park as well, but due to the current "situation" mar don was the only option.. on a lighter note we came home with lots of fish!!
