Says salmon season doesn't open till July 16 on the pool. I made plans to fish Friday the 3rd. Guess I better make other plans or is there verification sockeye opens on the 1st of July in the Brewster Pool? What a crock of crap this has to be so confusing.

July 1 sockeye is what I’ve heard. Mid July up to wells for chinook and mid August for Brewster chinook, todays count has now exceeded the total summer run last year with 34 days left of counting ! :dunno:

Anyone headed to fish below dams know that they are cranking right now. Be safe

Yes, anyone headed below Wells, on the east ladder, just be aware there are 4’ rollers to deal with just trying to get there. Once there, the “calm” backeddy is super small, so more than about 6 boats will get ugly. The west side is not fishable at all.

I’ve been there in that eddy and wouldn’t fish it with a 20’ boat . We leave when they crank it up

A few adventurous soles hit it this morning; none stayed very long! The water is even down a bit this morning, and it is still a washing machine...….

Summer chinook opens July 4th

Below Wells Dam you can now keep 2 hatchery Kings in addition to 2 sockeye.
