Full Draw Film Tour on Youtube
« on: July 27, 2020, 10:22:50 PM »
Did anyone tune in tonight? What did you think of the first episode? I enjoyed it overall, the griz hunt was pretty cool! That thing was a chunk!
Its too bad we can't go see it in a theater setting w/other hunters but I did enjoy watching in leisure from my own home. It broke the monotony of lame TV and upsetting news! There will be new episodes all week through Thursday. Two films per episode. Enjoy!

Mfowl - thanks for the heads up!  I completely forgot about them doing this.  I'm behind but willing to catch up.

Last night was the first episode so there is not much catching up to do. It was worth the watch though!

The first episode was pretty epic.  The first one on the second night has me wanting to go to Kodiak island.  I am not really a big deer guy but that one got me excited.  Elk though, that my jam.

I am typically not in to watching Sitka Blacktail hunting on TV even though I would like to do it myself in person. I have a tendency to get bored quickly watching it. However I did enjoy last nights first film on it. The triple bull call in in film two was pretty awesome too!

Tonight (episode 3) has been my favorite so far! But I'm partial to the elk hunts anyway. Lets hope the finale is fireworks!

the first film left me a little confused he kept talking about the challenges he had to go through to make it to the season but didn't explain any of the challenges.

I don't quite recall what they said but I thought they were referring to the physical nature of their hunt in Hell's Canyon. They were the Built to Hunt guys, I figured they were trying to attribute their health/fitness angle in to their film.

As of last night all of the episodes were available to watch. I don't know if they will be removed once the series is done though.

I havent watched any of the new stuff, but if it is the same two guys (brothers?), didnt they get into a little trouble from their elk hunts in Hells Canyon maybe 10 years ago?  They filmed some good hunts.  Purgatory and Return to Purgatory if it is the same crew.

I think my favorite film was the double.  That was pretty cool, I'm not sure what they were doing in the beginning?  Maching the hunting industry maybe :dunno: The end was pretty cool though.

I enjoyed the series overall! I was not thrilled with the caribou hunt to end it, kind of anti climactic but I get it, hunts don't always go according to the plan. I'm glad they put the series together and got it out there for our viewing pleasure one way or another!

Yeah I was wrong.  The elk hunt I was thinking of was by On Foot Films but was in Hells Canyon

The caribou one was good to see as they are pretty successful hunters, so seeing them struggle to find success and persevere was good.
