If it snows hard (we had several inches in 2016 when we had the late tag) be extremely careful driving the lower road.I decided I was pushing all the way to South Navarre Campground in the Silverado 2500 and about went skydiving off the road a few times. The back stretch climbing into the campground was almost pure ice with no turnarounds. Would not recommend...

Would not recommend...There's at least a bunch of big Doug firs right off the downhill side of the road there that would catch you before you slid all the way down!
2 feet of snow at coyote creek . Snow and ice all the way from the start . Haven’t seen a truck past Mitchell creek all week and haven’t seen any good bucks either .
Yeah lower road . It also has a good size rock on it that probably can’t get around in a truck around grade creek
