First Buck
« on: November 13, 2020, 02:07:08 PM »
Left the house with a doe tag and didnt even make it to camp when he shot his first buck. If you have kids and know this feeling man i could never hunt for myself again if i could continue to have trips like this.
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!

Ain't no better feeling in the world.     Congratulations to your boy (and you!)
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Congrats to you for getting your son out there and to your son!  He'll never forget it!   I know that feeling though... I have been lucky enough to experience it with all three of my boys and it really is hard to explain to someone that has never felt it.

My partner is my youngest and will be 18 next month. I've always aloud him to shoot first. May have caused me to have tag soup, but I could care less.
Watching them succeed is the best feeling.

I'm sure some day, I may stop waiting  :chuckle: until then. Enjoy their success

Congrats to you both

Same here, tag soup two years in a row.  Couldn't care less, got both boys tagged out

The smile says it all! I always let my kids shoot first. I don’t think that will ever change.  It never gets old to see the smiles on the faces!
