Washington technically doesn’t have “governors tags” like other states where the governor actually delegates the tags. Here they’re really just auction tags that the governor has nothing to do with.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I think the only Western state that actually has a tag still called a "governors tag" is Wyoming.  But I don't believe it is issued by the governor.  Every other wester state has went to raffle, auction, commissioner, etc.

Nice buck. But I highly doubt an auction tag holder Is going to shoot a 3x3.

Bet most auction tag holders couldn't pass on this three point
I remember putting my hands on that buck.

I think it's spot on calling it the governor's tag. Sold to the highest bidder.

More like bought by the highest bidder.
