Shout-out to Steiner for excellent customer service
« on: December 23, 2020, 05:24:56 PM »
This hunting season I cracked the ring that holds the rubber eye cups on my Steiner Night Hunter 8x30 binos. The cup ended up falling off and getting lost with a couple weeks to go. After season I sent them in for repair. I’m not exactly sure how long I’ve had them, but I’d say at least 22 years. They have a 30 year warranty, after 10 they may charge for parts. I received an invoice for $25 dollars to replace the eyecup, which I didn’t think was too bad with shipping and all.
I received them back today, they replaced both eye cups with an updated version, cleaned the lenses and surprised me by replacing the rubber armoring. They look brand new. I certainly wasn’t expecting that. I really like these glasses and now they’re ready for another 20 years or more probably

That was good. My story is close to opposite . Mine went to heck after a couple years and only could see through one side. I contacted them and they said tough . So I mentioned to them that I was a SCI member and I would make sure everyone I knew heard about there service. They fixed them and said don't send them back. They were stolen a couple years later and it was a happy day. Never again for me.

That’s terrible, I wouldn’t be happy either

Love my Steiner "magoos" 15x80 military marine. I have ruined them twice and sent them back for repair. Both times I was sent a new pair for $100. I've been treated more than fair by them.
