if you want a rocky mountain bighorn then what pope said either asotin or wenaha, I think for california bighorns you could probably score a good ram in any of the units, when my dad drew his umptanum tag this past year we talked to the biologist and he told us that umptanum probably puts out the smallest rams in the state we went up there not expecting anything real big and my dad ended up takin a nice 170" ram out of a bachelor herd and there were 3 other rams with him that were pretty close in size, I think its like somebody else said most end up just shooting the first animals they get a crack at, while we were at the wdfw office in yakima gettin the horns plugged the bio said it was actually the biggest ram hed ever seen come out of the umptanum and a few minutes after another hunter pulled in with a ram that wouldve probably gone about 140", said it was the first sheep they saw so they shot it.

shelah butte B ewe tag.  There are some old hags in there that go back and forth between Shelah butte and the Umtanum.  Should be a slam dunk for a B&C cali bighorn hag.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
