I passed on a few mid sized and smaller bears.  Nothing big enough.

I've never baited bears nor hunted bears over bait, but I always really enjoy following this.

Finally got some bait in my barrel yesterday.  You know it really sucks to face plant, but I can tell you it is even less fun doing a gravity check with 55 pounds of bait strapped to your back and carrying two 40 pound pails of peanut butter and catching a toe on the downhill trail to your bear bait.  That is a real bitch trying to get back up once you assess nothing is broken!!

Less than 24 hours out and bear on the bait, but holy smokes he's already naked!!

In that one photo he almost looks like a gorilla, maybe a cinnamon squatch?
