I don't know what is best, to draw and be excited and then go on your quality hunt and be disappointed and let down or to just get the "un-selected" message!  Drew my quality bull tag two years ago, my bull tag last year, and my antlerless elk last year too.  It wasn't any better than being in the "not-selected category if you ask me!  this state in the last 5 years has spiraled into the toilet for most quality hunts. Im glad I have access to the ranch I hunt deer on or I would be done here.

I drew bull elk for bethel last year.  Excited as hell, first branched tag, went scouting several times, figured everything out, season came, all I ended up seeing was cows.  Probably 50+ cows and never saw so much as a spike.
