Had a Kershaw Camp 18 for a couple years, and used the heck out of it. Was my favorite machete of all time. Would slice right through a 2 1/2" branch with one swipe, and would ring like a bell when it did. It actually made cutting brush fun again! Then, one dreary day, I cut through a tag alder about an inch or so thick, and after it wen through, it nicked about 1/4" of the blade tip on the bumper of an old trailer frame...something made a loud "tink". My favorite machete broke almost exactly in half! I sent pics to Kershaw, and told them the story. They said they'd replace it. It looks to me like a heat treat issue, as the grain where it broke is big, and sandy looking. My wife bought me a 16" CRKT "Chanceinhell", and although the blade is a little short, and the handle is too short for my hands, I REALLY love the angle of the grip in relation to the blade.
Got one of the babies and it is sharp as a razor! Don't know how durable it is yet but it was cheap enough! Camille's Carnivore, The saw back is amazingly sharp but looks like it's shaped wrong on the teeth. I will let you know how it works out. I think it's 18" overall though so a bit shorter than your would be. That things a sword!
Can't wait to hear your review after use. For many years I bought machete after machete, just to be disappointed. Last year I broke down and bought a Woodsman's Pals and couldn't be any happier. It chops and cuts better than any tool I have ever used. It is a trail building machine. It is a little pricy....but so far well worth the money. https://www.woodmanspal.com/shop/
I dunno if this thing is a machete or a sword, but its my new truck axe! I got a KB 650, but it sucks on small stuff, this gonna fill the gap. For hanging cams and tree stands. I've used traditional machetes before but they suck for up here, twang and flex, this gonna chop18 inch blade, got some heftKershaw camp 18, anyone use one? I just took it out the box
