Neighbor's dog killed yesterday by complications during surgery caused by cougar attack.....three dogs got scratched up, one didn't make it.

They said they were prepared to sedate the cat, I guess even the pros can't predict what these critters are capable of. If they're not afraid, shoot em'!

With reading the story, I just can't figure out why they shot bird shot and did not sedate it in the first place???
22 years 3 months and 4 days, happily retired from the U.S Army.
