Baker Lake?

Any body been fishing Baker Lake recently? If so how was the fishing and the quality of the fish? Thinking of heading up there tomorrow.

One report from my parents' neighbor on Sunday 8/6, fishing was slow from 5 AM until 11 AM with only two fish boated, bite turned on from 11 AM to noon and they picked up 6 more fish in an hour. Left just after noon with 8 fish. Quality was what you'd expect for this time of year, colors starting to turn but still in good shape.

Just got back from Baker, pretty much what knighttime said. Although I didn’t see your post until I got back, which is why we called it a day at 11:00. So I can’t verify the 11-12 bite.  Smoked one on the Green Mountain and the meat is still bright red and firm. Deeelicious.
