Has anyone hunted the Okanagan Unit for bear , particularly not in private land. I was thinking about going up for a weekend.

Have never hunted off private ground but there is a lot of bears in the NF. We have had them on cams seen plenty of tracks and poop. Like anywhere else find the berries and there will likely be bears. Our place is just over 2200ft and the bears are thickest in July there.

Tons of bears in there. alot of that unit is timbered so there wont be much for glassing for bears. Still a good chance of finding them.

Ive killed 5 or 6 in that unit.   It’s full of bears.   In fact, the biggest bear I have ever seen was in that unit. Right next to the border.  I dubbed it a Canadian super bear.
