Someone may have already posted about this... if so apologies.

Has anyone heard that Tred Barta suffered some kind of stroke... potentially paralyzing him?

there's a couple threads on here on it.
one of them is a link to a real cool interview on bowsite.com . it's worth a listen to if you have a little time.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I'm sorry to hear that.  I love that guy- he's a hero to me.  Hunts the same way I do- do the work and do it the hard way.  I guess that's why I usually hunt alone.  I hope he finds a way to continue his hunting and fishing.

It's pretty funny that when the guy was healthy all anyone could talk about is how he is an arrogant idiot and shouldn't be hunt the way he does.  :dunno:

Love to watch Barta, sometimes I thought he was an idiot in 7 languages with the way he did things.  The more I watched him the more respect I learned for him.  He does things HIS way, the Barta way!!  Gotta love someone who can do the things he does with the kind of passion he has.  Live life for every moment.  Tred is actually a very intelligent man, owns a corporate aircraft sales business.  I do wish him the best.

Barta is great, beyond what you see in his shows.  I've listened to a few radio interviews, and he is quite a fellow.  This year he was going to try and nail the BIG tuna off our coast.  If anyone would have nailed it, it would have been him.  He would have single handedly sparked a new industry on our coast which would have helped many guides, and suppliers.  I was really looking forward to hear about his quest for the big tuna which he feels exists in the Pacific.
